Every CMG leader started their construction management career as a project manager. This hands-on experience shapes our culture: one that is strategic, collaborative, and accountable. CMG is a company where transparency, honesty, and teamwork are core values. We share challenges with our teams and clients, support each other throughout the process, and celebrate successes together. Our success is measured not only by the number of projects we have completed, but also by the level of trust we have earned over two decades.

Our large team of project managers and coordinators are strategically placed throughout North America. This ensures that CMG can serve our clients across the US and Canada without compromising budget, schedule or quality.
Our Story
Established in 2005, CMG was created to assist retail and restaurant brands seeking to rapidly expand or renovate their businesses. A successful development program requires an experienced team with the skills and resources to execute the client vision, while maintaining budgetary and timing restraints.![katrina]()
After the Storm (2005)
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, CMG worked with the McDonald’s Corporation to rebuild 35 restaurants along the Gulf Coast. These urgent projects cemented our reputation for precision and reliability under pressure.![amccafe]()
New Initiatives (2009–2010)
As McDonald’s launched its McCafé program, CMG managed and completed more than 1,600 renovations across four U.S. regions in just two years. This large-scale rollout proved our ability to coordinate ambitious programs quickly and effectively.![11Lululemon]()
Retail Expansion (2011–2015)
CMG partnered with Vancouver-based lululemon athletica, completing over 200 projects for the fast-growing brand. This work established CMG as a leader in high-quality, efficient development programs: a model that has been replicated for other retail clients.

Rollout Leadership (2011–2015)
During this period, CMG successfully delivered more than 10 major rollout programs of 100+ locations each. From rebranding initiatives to rapid expansion plans, we guided brands through the complexities of growth at scale.

International Expansion (2015)
Strong relationships with clients and vendor partners made CMG a natural choice for international brands entering North America. Rapha Cycle Clubs chose us for flagship retail projects in Boulder and Chicago, marking the start of our global portfolio.![Superette1-1]()
Growing in Canada (2017)
CMG expanded north with the creation of CMG Canada, completing more than 40 projects annually. Alongside retail and restaurant programs, CMG Canada also began serving the emerging cannabis retail industry, diversifying our expertise.

Startup Growth (2015–2020)
During this period, CMG expanded into new industries, managing projects for startups in entertainment, veterinary, and healthcare. Partnerships with Comcast Xfinity and Bond Vet demonstrated our ability to bring discipline and scalability to new markets.![Monro]()
Building Systems for Scale (2015–2020)
To manage hundreds of projects simultaneously, CMG strengthened its internal systems. We introduced advanced reporting tools, built transparent vendor networks, and implemented consistent oversight. During this period, we completed more than 300 remodels for Monro, Inc. as part of a nationwide rebranding campaign.

Growing With Our Clients (2020–Today)
Today, CMG delivers more than 550 projects annually across 50 U.S. states and 10 Canadian provinces. Over 80% of work comes from repeat clients, including long-standing partnerships with McDonald’s, Arc’teryx and Comcast Xfinity.
